GUIDE TO DOORS > Now that may sound a little deep considering we’re talking about door colours but to us, it really is that emotive. Paint was designed with choice in mind, and we’re proud to be able to offer a range of pre-selected shades to tick every box, as well as being able to colour match anything the homeowner wishes to be inspired by. KEEPING UP WITH COLOURS Inspiration often comes from the fast-moving world of social media and influencers, so keeping up with trends can be a full-time job. Paint companies are a great source of inspiration too. Farrow and Ball, a market leader in the field, shook up the norm at the end of 2022 when the business’ team released 11 new colours to the firm’s extensive palette of 132 shades. A collection of pastels, muted brights and darks, these new shades gave food for thought and confirmed that some of our premium Paint offerings are at the heart of what’s on trend right now. Farrow and Ball’s Bamboozle has the same appeal as our much-loved shade Marsala, while the leading paint brand’s new addition Kittiwake has much likeness to Nimbus. These similarities demonstrate how our Paint offering enables homeowners to carry their interior styles through to their exterior designs, and even more so through the growing trend of dual-colour doors, where the interior colour often blends with the interior style of the home. Pantone is another source of inspiration when selecting shades for our range and predicting trends. This year’s colour of the year, Viva Magenta, showed that bolds are here to stay. Whether it’s bright pinks or other pops of colour – such as our bright green Tree Frog or California blue – eye-catching choices are on the rise. Colour is a never-ending wave to ride, and one we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of. Our Paint colour selectors, new retail website (retail.door-co.com) and online door designer allows our customers to give their customers the tools they need to make the right choice for them. We’ll continue to keep our fingers on the pulse of what’s hot, and to adapt our offering and marketing. This will ensure that everyone working with DoorCo knows that anything is possible when it comes to colour. ggpmag.com GUIDE TO DOORS
